Miguel Vergara, a Venezuelan native  was raised in the Tampa Bay area. He always had a passion for serving the community & owning his own local business. One day in late 2011, he was driving by the Upper Tampa Bay Trail along Gunn Hwy when he noticed the many cyclists riding on the trail. His first thought was there needs to be a community bicycle shop along the trail to provide repair service when needed. An opportunity had arisen when a piece of property directly on the trail happened to be available by Mr. Nathan Hart, a trusted local businessman whom was heavily involved in the community. Miguel shared his idea with Mr. Hart, with his help, mentorship and with the assistance and support of Miguel's wife Tracy, Citrus Park Bikes was born. It was during this time, Miguel with his technical degrees & skills discovered and achieved a great passion for cycling. For the past 10 years, along with their trusted store manager & cycling enthusiast Scott, Citrus Park Bikes has serviced and sold over 10,000 bicycles along the trail.
